1. Modify Boundary Names in Fluent Meshing?

After using Fluent Meshing to generate a fluid domain mesh, sometimes you may encounter this problem: it automatically generates some wall names, which may be because we did not define the boundary names completely during the fluid domain preprocessing. So, can we modify these boundary names in Fluent Meshing? After all, boundary names are very important for subsequent calculations, allowing you to tell at a glance which is a wall, which is an inlet/outlet, making it less error-prone when setting boundary conditions and doing post-processing, and enabling others to quickly understand your model during team collaboration. 2. How to Modify?

First, after completing the mesh creation in Fluent Meshing, right-click on

Generate the Volume Mesh in the directory tree, and select Manage Zones in Insert Next Task.

In Manage Zones, set Type to Face Zones, and the list will display all boundary names in the current model. Among them, this fluid-fluid:1 is unknown which face it is. Left-click to select this fluid-fluid:1, and the model will highlight the outer wall surface of this face model. Then we change its name to wall. Set Operation to Rename, enter the new name in Name, such as wall, so you can tell at a glance that this face is a wall. Click the Manage Zones button to complete the renaming.

After that, this zone will be displayed with the new name, and there will be no more confusion.
