Don’t Panic When ANSYS Interface Gets Messy! One-Click Layout Reset for Workbench/SpaceClaim/Mechanical

When using the ANSYS Workbench platform, you may encounter the problem of layout disorder caused by dragging panels around. This can happen in the Workbench platform itself, as well as in the geometry model processing module SpaceClaim, and in Mechanical.

ANSYS Workbench

In ANSYS Workbench, you can reset the page layout through View – Reset Workspace.

SpaceClaim

In SpaceClaim, you may also encounter the problem of various function panels being dragged out of order.

At this point, go to File and select SpaceClaim Options.

In SpaceClaim Options, select Reset Docking Layout in Appearance.

ANSYS Mechanical

In Mechanical, the same problem can occur.

Select Layout in the Home tab.

The Reset Layout function in Layout can restore the page layout to its default state.
